The ‘concrete’ pad dried overnight - I used some more of the powder included with the Hatton’s oil spill kit. This morning I airbrushed some black to grubby things up a bit and blended the edges in with some static grass and added some spilled real coal. I also added a couple of bits of plastruct girder to the area I narrowed on the coal tower.
It’s the Memsahib’s birthday tomorrow so we popped out for a very nice pub lunch in Reculver.
Brownie points earned I called in to the Hornby Visitor Centre and picked a couple of new, unboxed wagons from Oxford Rail (very cheap), one of which will serve as camera car for my mini camera.
Also picked up the Skaledale water tower to match my station buildings - I didn’t realise quite how big it is - too wide to fit between the rails near the level crossing. The thinking cap will have to go on to make it fit somewhere else.

I managed to find a space for the new water tower and a cunning plan for corrugated sheets for the coal tower is starting to form.
