Damn! I was relying on that for my return air fare this week.

Now looking for something that will allow me to do the same with station lamps. That may be a step too far.

I have yet to find a plug/socket combination small enough. The 2.5mm jack plug could possibly be ok if I can slim down the cover, maybe a sleeve of plastic plasticard tubing would do the trick. The socket also has a large area - easily disguised in the yard but it may be a bit conspicuous on a platform.

I do have some very small components, about the size of the pins on a decoder, that may be a route to explore.

The other thing is the lights themselves. I currently have a set of gas lamps from Gaugemaster which are a bit expensive for chopping about but I have seen almost identical lamps direct from China which may be a better option - might even have a couple in the bits box.

The old grey matter will undoubtedly chew this over for a while - my failed attempts will appear on here in due course.

Ah, I see. I was having a think about the size of the plug/socket and how to trim it down a little - or indeed use something else. At present though other matters are taking my attention but I also will have a look in my "bits and bobs" box which for some reason in enormous. Bound to be something in there.

Have a good trip to Barcelona - return as well.

Reinstalled the turntable board in the shed and tested all the various electrical changes that I have done. Some slight adjustments needed at the board joints are needed once the running has been tested thoroughly.
