Short History.
I originally joined the forum back in 2013 as Southernfan, intending to start my layout later that year. Some 5 years later I have been able to get going.
I have a dedicated railway room (approx. 8 x 3.5 meters) in an out building that I have managed to upgrade to a safe and dry place. My original plan for the layout was to base it on Ilfracombe, and have a small scale representation of Exeter Central, Exmouth Junction shed and a tiny version of Waterloo. But my vision for Waterloo grew and grew when I started adding more platforms and track to the plan. The layout so far is just Waterloo (still under construction) and the approach to it (see pictures) I will later add my version of Nine Elms shed that I had constructed over winter months. Despite not being able to start construction before this year I have enjoyed building Kits and Scratch building buildings for the layout over the past 5 years.

There has not been much work done on the layout since the first flurry of photos, an invasion of field mice meant I had to clear out all the clutter from the railway room to eliminate them some, 17 mice later I think that the problem is now over. but I have been able to continue work on Waterloo Station and hope to download some more photos before Christmas. :)

It's all coming together nicely.
