Re: Hornby APT HO scale, Never Opened
I would not worry too much about the scale as Hornby and triang back in the day marketing 00 as Ho in many markets like Canada. ~It is though to us in the Uk a us export model most important part is the pantograph on the middle power coach that can bring down its value if missing as they made a limi...

Re: wheel quartering
I would first clean the wheel throughly and buy new axle parts from peter spares order on the loco like jubilee or 0-6-0 and then on each set fit oneside with super glue away from the chassis wait until cured fully leave 24 hours. then check each to make sure the glue has not pulled on the axle as a...

Re: Early Triang Jinty
Older screw 4 piece chassis frame jinty i would leave alone later syncrosmoke and heavy wheel types thick wheels can be adjusted to run through points with a gauge and a set up to allow you to watch the chassis. otherwise rule out romford because of possible rareness and expense. Hornby did better w...

Re: Lima tension locks
You could leave the lima bogies intact and instead buy sets of replica railways bogies and convert them to run with nem pockets. then you can put the bogies with if boxed the lima ones inside so if you come to sell you can convert them back to stock

Re: Wrenn Period 1 Wagons
Wrenn wagons should have 2 nylon hangers which 'plug' in either side of the chassis. where the axle box is there should be slot running up to what would be the hidden top of chassis. from the top down you need to push these out with a flat screwdriver. once you can fit newer but wrenn made nylon slo...
