Had a bit of a result this week. For a long time now one of my ageing class37s has not been running well, it has been on the repair and maintenance bench now for some time. It appeared to be a problem with the pickups, I was always cleaning them to no great improvement. So sent an email to Bachmann spares and after a bit of discussion I got too new bogies with a slightly different pickup arrangement, what a difference, runs lovely now.

If I read this correctly, your last post was some months ago. Your execution of the modern era is simply brilliant, and I do hope you are well and that we can see more of this epic. I am particularly intrigued by the use of stone retaining arches upon the baseboard, it was another member, perhaps Bulleyed Boy who demonstrated this technique. I plan to plagiarize both of you shamelessly.
